PRIMARY SCHOOLS

Our most popular programme, our ‘Whodunit’ workshops are aimed at KS1 and KS2 students. Equipped with a foundation of science and its applications by this stage, our ‘Whodunit’ workshops introduce specific uses and strands of forensic science to students. Suitable for groups/classes of up to 30 children, aged 7 years and above, specific roles are assigned and the students work in teams.

PRIMARY SCHOOLS

Co-operation, communication and teamwork are fostered, from the hands-on approach to the various techniques; students appoint roles in their crime teams, gather their own evidence, which, once analysed through a series of experiments, forms the basis of their conclusion.

Feedback from teachers always describes how excited and engaged the children become during these hands-on workshops. Furthermore, this engagement lasts for a long time afterwards, and give teachers a wealth of ideas for lesson planning.

WHY CHOOSE US?

Teachers have praised the motivational and aspirational elements of our various workshops aimed at KS1 and KS2 students, as well as lauding the interactivity and curricular support they provide. Age and abilities are always taken into account when planning our workshops, which can be centred around certain themes to tie in with teachers’ lesson-planning or desired outcomes. The PR each school is able to attract, via local papers, amongst students’ parents, and the wider community, when engaging our workshops add even more value.

Think Forensic staff are ex law enforcement professionals who can recount real life examples of how certain techniques are used in line with police protocol and procedure.
