It has developed resources including an interctive CD Roms and videos. Tasters of which can be viewed on the website. Steer Clear works closely with Schools,
Road Safety departments, Police, Fire andAmbulance services, Youth Offending Teams etc and has recieved widespread national recognition

It offers post and undergraduate courses including Forensic Science, Forensic Science/Criminology and Forensic Science/Psychology. Facilities include a crime scene house. Staffordshire University was rated the UKs top Forensic Science Department in the National Student Survey.

This regularly updated online resource has an extensive video clip library aimed at stimulating debate on a wide range of issues around genetics, ethics and society. Gene Journey also includes clear animations and innovative interactive tasks. For example, the virtual cytogenetics lab shows how techniques used in forensics, like PCR, are widely used in medical settings, such as the analysis of a sample of amniotic fluid. Multimedia workshops are also available.
