Who Dunnit_ 16 - Ashley LaurenceEver fancied yourself as the next Sherlock Holmes, or as a crack crime-scene investigator? If so, this should be right up your (Baker) street. Back by popular demand to The Brighton Science Festival, the experts from Think Forensic will show you how real-life crimes are solved, using genuine forensic techniques to gather and examine evidence.

In this workshop, you will:

  • Lift and develop fingerprints
  • Analyse blood spatter
  • Identify/match hair and fibres under the microscope
  • Capture shoe prints and tyre tracks

The people behind Think Forensic are experts in the field of crime scene investigation. The company operates across the U.K., delivering interactive courses and workshops on numerous aspects of criminology and forensic science. Their diverse range of themed workshops include everyone – from reception and nursery school children, right through to Year 12 students; they’ve also created a number of workshops and events specifically for adults.

Hello, I am a teacher at Sussex Coast College Hastings who teaches Forensic Science to BTEC students. I note you are based in my home county of Yorkshire but are coming to the Brighton Science Festival. Would it be possible to accommodate a group of up to 20 students on both days for a CSI experience, and if so what are the costs involved?
    Thank you.
    Kind regards.
